Car Accidents in California

In the aftermath of a car accident, it’s important to do a few things:

  1. If physically able, document information while at the scene about the accident (i.e. make, model, color, license plate number of the vehicles involved)
  2. Call the police as soon as possible, so they can record the accident and investigate
  3. Get the names and contact information of any witnesses (this information can be given to the police when they arrive)
  4. Seek immediate medical attention. Some injuries are not noticeable right away, so it is important to be checked out by a medical professional to determine if you may need further treatments.
  5. Report the accident to your own insurance company
  6. Contact a car accident attorney
