Westminster, CA – Injuries Reported Following Car Crash at Westminster Blvd & Deodara Dr
Westminster, CA (December 3, 2022) – On Thursday evening, December 1, an accident was reported in Westminster that resulted in two people sustaining injuries and caused significant traffic delays.
According to the Police, the accident occurred in the evening, around 8:30 p.m. The accident occurred when two vehicles entered the intersection at Westminster Boulevard and Deodara Drive at the same time and collided, which resulted in the vehicles incurring major damage. One vehicle was a Toyota Camry, but there is no information about the other vehicle.
Paramedics were called to the scene to help those hurt in the accident. Firefighters helped the people from the wreckage and assessed injuries. One woman had been trapped in the wreckage and required the jaws of life to extract her. She was a passenger in the Toyota Camry. She was transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the Toyota Camry was also taken to the hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was assessed at the scene by paramedics but declined further medical care. The person remained at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.
The force of the impact caused major damage to the vehicles, blocked the roadway, and caused traffic to be backed up. Traffic was diverted while crews helped people from their cars, tended to injuries, and cleaned up the wreckage.
The authorities are still investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the crash and the events leading up to the collision.
