Woodland Hills, CA – Armen Benglyan Killed in Fatal Head-On Accident on Victory Blvd
Woodland Hills, CA (September 3, 2022) – The identity of one of two people killed in a head-on crash was officially released. Armen Benglyan, 24, of Northridge, died on Monday, August, 29 in Woodland Hills.
According to officials, the accident occurred around 11:30 p.m. near the entrance to Pierce College on Victory Boulevard near the Mason Avenue intersection. According to police, one vehicle was traveling eastbound on Victory Boulevard when it collided head-on at full speed with a vehicle in the other lane that was traveling westbound. The impact of the crash severely damaged the involved vehicles.
Emergency personnel was called to the scene. Firefighters and paramedics quickly responded to the accident and worked to help people from their vehicles and tend to injuries. One person was trapped in his vehicle. Los Angeles firefighters used power tools to extricate the victim from their vehicle. Sadly, this person who had to be extricated was transported to a local hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries and passed away. One other person was sadly killed in the accident and died at the scene of the accident. The police have not released the identity of the second person who was killed in the accident.
The accident caused much damage and the area was closed for many hours as crews tended to the victims, conducted their investigation, and cleared the accident.
