Garden Grove, CA – Man Dead in Pedestrian Wreck on Garden Grove Blvd
Garden Grove, CA (August 29, 2023) – The death of a pedestrian occurred early Monday morning, August 28, in the Garden Grove area, according to local officers.
The incident happened in the 8700 block of Garden Grove Boulevard, not far from Newland Street, per traffic investigator John Yergler of the Garden Grove Police Department.
The police were summoned to the scene at 7:30 a.m. and discovered that the driver of a silver Lexus RX300 had struck the victim.
Authorities found the victim to be unresponsive. Paramedics from the Orange County Fire Authority performed continuous CPR on the pedestrian until he was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
There is no evidence to suggest that drugs or alcohol had a role in the accident, but detectives are still looking into the incident. Anyone who saw what happened is asked to get in touch with Yergler.
