Southern California is one of the most congested and dangerous places to drive in the United States. Heavy traffic and accidents are made worse by the millions of cars daily, and several of Southern California’s roadways are among the most well-traveled in the state. Additionally, due to the higher top speeds that can be attained on the highway, it is often the most preferred means of transportation.
However, since vehicles on these highways and interstates have less time to react to sudden changes in road conditions or dangers, accidents involving significant injuries are also more likely to occur at higher speeds. Distracted driving, texting while driving, intoxicated driving, drowsy driving, fatigued driving, following too closely, and generally not following traffic laws are other major contributors to car accidents in the Golden State.
Adding insult to injury, financial worries, medical expenses, vehicle repairs or replacement, and other charges may significantly disrupt everyday living for a victim after an auto accident. When people have been seriously hurt, their injuries may not heal for months or years, or they could leave them permanently disabled. Moreover, after an accident, you may worry about how to pay for necessary medical care, ongoing household expenses, and lost wages while you recover.
It goes without saying that being in a car accident is stressful and that the effects of the trauma last long after the accident itself has been resolved. Thankfully, a competent lawyer specializing in vehicle accidents may help you regain your livelihood after a crash that’s occurred through no fault of your own.
