Santa Ana, CA – Vehicle Collision, Injuries on I-5 at SR 57
Santa Ana, CA (September 26, 2023) – At least one and perhaps two people were hurt in an automobile collision that occurred in the Santa Ana neighborhood, just outside of Los Angeles, around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the collision took place on northbound Interstate 5 close to the exit for State Route 57. For reasons that are yet unknown, troopers have reported that two or three automobiles crashed in the roadway’s middle lanes.
Firefighters and paramedics, the police said, were on their way to the location to help the victims. Local TV video showed emergency medical technicians evaluating what seemed to be at least one injured person.
Since the tragedy was originally reported, police have not offered any updates on the victims’ health or released any new information to the public.
