Anaheim, CA – Injuries Result from Multi-Vehicle Collision on SR-55
Anaheim, CA (May 19, 2022) – One or more victims were hurt as a result of a multi-vehicle collision that took place on a major highway in Anaheim on Thursday evening, May 19.
California Highway Patrol officials confirmed that the accident happened around 7:41 p.m. in the southbound lanes of SR-55 around the area of Katella Avenue. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they forcefully collided on the highway due to reasons that are not entirely known. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Several victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were rushed to local hospitals by ambulance for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume.
