Fatal Truck Accidents in California

Large commercial trucks are regularly seen on California’s highways. California already has some of the longest commutes and busiest highways in the country, and trucks further add to this congestion. Unfortunately, trucks are regularly involved in accidents in California. Since tractor-trailers are much larger than other vehicles on the roads, they can be much more difficult to control and maneuver. Given their large size, they can cause a lot of damage when involved in an accident, which makes the risk of someone involved sustaining serious injury very high.

After an accident, a truck company’s main goal is to minimize the amount of money they have to pay out on a claim by either denying liability or trying to shift blame. Many parties can be at fault when there is a truck accident, including the driver, trucking company, manufacturer, or cargo loaders, to name just a few. Because of all the different parties involved, truck accident cases and determining liability can be more complicated than ordinary car accidents. Therefore, it is best to have an experienced truck accident attorney evaluate your case.
