Fatal Head-on Crashes in California

Every day, hundreds of car accidents occur in California. Many of them result in serious injuries and death. However, even when an injury doesn’t initially seem serious, it may become more serious as the stress and adrenaline from the accident wear off and your symptoms reveal themselves in the days and sometimes weeks after an accident. Some of the most common injuries caused by an accident include:

  • Whiplash
  • Soft tissue injuries
  • Cuts and bruises
  • Broken bones
  • Burns and disfigurement
  • Neck and back injuries
  • Spinal cord injuries and paralysis
  • Nerve damage
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Skull fractures
  • Loss of limbs and amputation
  • Chest injuries
  • Internal organ damage

When you’ve been injured in a car accident, you may be entitled to compensation from those at fault for the accident. Many people try to handle insurance matters on their own after an accident. However, that generally doesn’t lead to the best outcome for the injured party. The insurance company will use whatever tactics they can to try to minimize your payout. When you’re recovering and already dealing with so much, the last thing you need to deal with is the insurance company giving you a hard time or minimizing your claim.

The days after a car accident can feel overwhelming. A trusted car accident lawyer can help you regain control by helping you file a claim against the party at fault. They are aware of the insurance company’s tactics to minimize their payout and can defend against them on your behalf. An experienced attorney will fight the insurance company to get you what you deserve to be able to move on with your life.

If you were in a car accident caused by someone else’s negligence, you should speak to an experienced car accident lawyer right away. Contact a Brea-area car accident attorney by calling (949) 309-0990 to see how we can help you today.
