Costa Mesa, CA – Multi-Vehicle Collision with Injuries in NB Lanes of 405 Fwy

Costa Mesa, CA (February 27, 2022) – On Saturday evening, February 26, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries took place in Costa Mesa.

According to California Highway Patrol officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of 405 Freeway around the area of Highway 55. Three vehicles were traveling in the area when they became involved in a chain-reaction collision due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Several northbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
