Costa Mesa, CA – Pedestrian Hit & Killed on 405 Fwy
Costa Mesa, CA (March 3, 2024) – On Saturday night, authorities reported that a woman walking along the 405 Freeway in Costa Mesa was killed when she was struck by a vehicle.
At around 8:00 p.m., a witness called the California Highway Patrol from the southbound interstate, specifically north of Fairview Road. The eyewitness reported to the CHP that the woman was struck by a vehicle in an unknown lane. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, but the events leading up to the incident remain unclear. An investigation is presently ongoing in the interim.
