Porter Ranch, CA -One Killed, Nine Seriously Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Reseda Blvd
Porter Ranch, CA (October 24, 2022) – On Saturday evening, October 22, a serious accident was reported in Porter Ranch that tragically killed one person and injured nine others.
According to officials, the accident occurred around 5:50 p.m. on Reseda Boulevard in the Porter Ranch neighborhood of Los Angeles. According to police, the accident began when a Honda SUV was traveling south on Reseda Boulevard. For reasons that are still unknown, the Honda collided with two other vehicles, a Toyota SUV and a Volkswagen sedan, at 11001 Reseda Boulevard. The impact of the crash was so forceful that all three vehicles sustained major damage and caused traffic backups in the area.
Emergency personnel was called to the scene. Firefighters and paramedics quickly responded to the accident and worked to help the victims from the vehicles and tended to injuries. The force of the impact caused a 17-year-old boy in the Honda to sustain very severe injuries. Sadly, the 17-year-old boy died due to the injuries he sustained in the accident. His name has not been released at this time.
Nice other people, including children, were seriously injured in the accident. Six of the people are reported to be in critical condition, while the other three are listed in fair condition. Paramedics rushed all nine people to local hospitals for emergency medical treatment. The names of those injured have not been released at this time.
The accident delayed local traffic as crews tended to the victims, conducted their investigation, and cleared the accident. Both directions of Reseda Boulevard were closed between San Fernando Mission Boulevard and Chatsworth Street for some time.
