Santa Ana, CA – One Injured in Rollover Accident on Costa Mesa Fwy

Santa Ana, CA (February 8, 2022) – On Tuesday morning, February 8, a rollover accident with injuries took place in Santa Ana.

Officials confirmed that the collision happened around 8:56 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Costa Mesa Freeway around the area of Dyer Road. A gray Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling north in the area when it collided forcefully with a Jeep in the area. This caused the Jeep to flip onto its side. The female driver was trapped in the Jeep and had to be rescued by those in the area.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The female victim was transported to Orange County Global Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. Her condition is not known at this time.

Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in several lanes until police fully cleared the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing. Police will update as more information becomes available.
