Our thoughts are with the injured and their loved ones.
Orange County is one of the most populous areas in California and hence has a high rate of vehicle accidents. The accident and mortality rates have dropped significantly over the past several years, but our region’s residents are still more likely to be involved in a collision that results in injury when driving on multi-lane highways and major thoroughfares.
In fact, there were almost 12,000 car accidents in Orange County alone between January and December of 2017. Also, contrary to popular assumption, rear-end crashes can be just as dangerous as head-on collisions, accounting for nearly a third of all accidents.
Automobile accidents can be caused by several things, including reckless driving or bad weather. However, regardless of fault, the financial burden of fixing or replacing a vehicle and dealing with unexpected medical bills and lost pay may be overwhelming. Sadly, many victims get serious injuries, necessitating extended hospital stays and rehabilitation, which in turn necessitates significant time away from work and results in hefty medical expenditures.
