Westminster, CA – Car Accident at Bolsa Chica Rd & Loyola Ave Leads to Injuries

Westminster, CA (May 16, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious car accident that took place at an intersection in Westminster on Monday night, May 16.

According to Westminster officials and the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 9:40 p.m. at the intersection of Bolsa Chica Road and Loyola Avenue. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the collision sustained severe damages and had to be towed from the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and various other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
