Each day, hundreds of people suffer injuries in auto accidents in the state of California. Numerous reasons exist as to why these accidents occur, however, driver negligence has become the leading reason auto collisions are reported in the Golden State and throughout the country. Some of the most commonly seen types of negligence displayed by drivers in California include distraction, specifically texting and driving, intoxication, fatigue, and speeding.
After a car wreck, a lot of stress may be added to your life while you face the difficult circumstances of the accident. You may be facing painful injuries, overwhelming vehicle repairs/costs, and lost income. A car accident can completely disrupt your regular life and take a lot of time to recover from. When you’ve been injured in a crash, you may be entitled to significant financial compensation from the at-fault driver’s insurance company. Many people think they are able to handle the insurance company without the help of a lawyer, however, this can prove to be very difficult.
Sadly, insurance companies never have your best interest in mind. Insurance companies make money by paying out as little as possible in insurance claims. The other party’s insurance company will attempt to deny responsibility and attempt to pay you nothing for your damages. When you talk to the insurance company, you will most likely be dealing with an adjuster who is trained to seek out ways to deny your claim or limit the compensation you do receive. When you’re in recovery and already facing a long list of issues, the last thing you need to worry about is the insurance company trying to take advantage.
